Carbon fiber is my friend. The 2012 Stumpjumper Comp 29'er carbon is a sweet bike. I've been wanting a new mountain bike for a long time and I finally pulled the trigger. I may end up on the streets over it, because Maria is not happy, but I don't care. It's sweet and rides really well so far.
Just before daybreak I got out and started laying down first tracks. I got wrangled up in a lot of sand that slowed me down, but overall the bike is good.
Sunday was pretty much a carbon copy, but it was much colder out. My hands and feet felt like blocks of ice.

Cool bike, but don't get Maria too angry. In her profession, she should know that you need the proper tools for rehabilitation. Make sure you tell her that - it should go over really well. ;)

ReplyDeleteThe streets are well worth it for that beautiful machine. I miss my 29'er so much, and that was only a shell compared to what you've treated yourself to. I expect a top ten finish in the Iceman with it.
